A guide to NHS Hacking: Commenting feed

After working on a commenting widget for a few days now (available soon) I have come across quite a few little quirks with the data provided. Because of this I have decided to release some scripts and tips to help along the way. In this post I hope to share some of the secrets to creating your own commenting feed widget.

Chromium OS - Running before you can walk

After a surprisingly successful build of Google's new operating system, named Chromium O.S, I have yet to be convinced that the web is capable of supporting the high quality services we know and love. Instant messaging, video conferencing as well as office applications within the cloud seem less than satisfactory compared to the high standard we expect from desktop applications on our office computer.

The demise of Microsoft

Following the launch of Microsoft's search engine named "Bing" earlier this year, Google have struck another blow to the software firm, fighting back with their new operating system "Google Chrome OS" based on their hit browser "Google Chrome". Earlier this week Google announced its first working code releases. Although on the surface this cuts deep into Microsoft's core business, providing an operating system for free, underneath that there are more underlying problems with which Microsoft are having to come to terms.

 

NHS Choices - UPDATED!

Following my Young Rewired State hack day Google HQ, London I have been persevering with the pre-release version of NHS Choices API. Through my work in integrating the API in my projects, I have been invited to join staff from the Department of Health to help improve and take forward the API further. However during this meeting what I really wish to do is to bring forward the views of all hackers to allow me to bring a unified view from the data community.
