I have always been into technology since I was small. From before I can remember I have been told I played around with any switch you could find before, after growing a little older, I finally can to the motto I held for so much of my left "play with it 'til it breaks!". Although things never seemed to work after I'd touched them, the knowlege I have build up now through this mentality can from that.

When I was 10 years old I had my first experience of programming after my dad brought home a BBC basic, a small device with an LCD dot-matrix screen, micro-cassette drive and a recipt printer. as soon as I got hold of it I was fixed! To gedgin with I didn't really understand the inportance of what I had been given, the scale of its capabilities of its features, however showly after reading through the manuals I began to write programs for it in BASIC beginning with calculators, working onto sound (on a monophonic speaker) and finally printing and tape drive manipulation. After a while on this I began to write programs that were actually useful and sometimes did simple soms for somework and other regular tasks.

After that was when I first moved onto a PC aquiring my first programming software called "truBasic". Installing off 5 1/2" floppy disks I began to start writing more complex programs eventually ending up creating programs capable of mouse capture events (VERY CPU hungry!) and multipane half graphical (drawing on a CLI based console) interfaces with the help of some in build 2D graphical libraries.

It as only been through the last few years however that I have actually created programs that can be used in production and solve problems. My realisation that Microsoft isn't the only solution (and sometimes the hindrance) lead me to OSS where I began programming in PHP and other powerful web technologies. A few years ago I made a complete change to the Linux flavour called Ubuntu, where the software provided gave me a real boost in my path towards development of programs suitable for companies.

Languages I can now write programs in include HTML, CSS, javascript, PHP, C#, .NET, with the experience of working with Java and C (of which I had half a weeks work experience learning the basics of pointers, casts and other C features).
